Terms of Service

Last updated: July 22, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Zapto ("we", "us"). By creating an account, publishing a booking page, or booking an appointment through one, you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.

What Zapto does — and what it does not

Zapto gives a business a page where its clients can pick a service and a time. That is the whole of it.

We are not a party to the appointment. The agreement to provide a haircut, a treatment or any other service is between the business and its client. We do not perform, supervise, guarantee, endorse or vet those services, we do not verify that a business is licensed or insured, and we take no payment for them. Disputes about a service, a price, a no-show or a cancellation are between the business and the client.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account.
  • The information you publish — business name, description, photos, services and prices — must be accurate and must be yours to publish.
  • One account represents one real business. Impersonating another business is not allowed.

The free plan and the booking horizon

Zapto has a free plan with no time limit. It is a complete, working booking page: your clients can find it, see your services and book with you, and nothing about it expires.

The free plan limits how far ahead clients can book — by default the next 3 days. Days beyond that are shown to your clients as not yet open for booking. The limit applies only to what clients can do on your public page; you can always record a booking yourself, at any date, from the app.

The number of days is a product setting we may change, globally or for an individual business. We will not reduce it without telling affected businesses in the app beforehand. Subscribing removes the limit entirely.

Subscription and billing

  • The paid plan is an auto-renewing monthly subscription sold through Apple in-app purchase, priced as shown on the subscription screen in the app.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID on confirmation. It renews automatically each month unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms; we cannot issue them.
  • If a subscription lapses, expires or is refunded, the account returns to the free plan described above. Nothing is deleted and your page keeps working — only the booking horizon comes back.
  • We may change the price. An increase takes effect only after Apple has notified you and, where Apple requires it, you have agreed to it.

Your clients' data is your responsibility

When a client books with you, we store their name, phone number and appointment on your behalf. You are the one who decides to collect it, so you are responsible for:

  • having a lawful basis to collect and keep your clients’ details, and telling them how you use them;
  • using those details only to run the appointments they booked — not for marketing they did not ask for, and not for resale;
  • responding to your own clients when they ask to see or delete their data.

Client names and phone numbers are erased from bookings older than 24 months, as described in the Privacy Policy.

What you may not publish or do

  • Illegal services, or anything sexual, hateful, harassing or deceptive.
  • Photos or text you do not have the right to use, including other businesses’ images.
  • Fake businesses, fake bookings, or pages set up to collect strangers’ phone numbers rather than to take appointments.
  • Attempting to reach other businesses’ data, probing or overloading the service, or scraping it automatically.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so we will say why first, but a page that is causing active harm may be taken down immediately.

Availability

We try to keep Zapto running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, provider outages and bugs happen. Your booking page is not a substitute for your own records — if being unable to see your schedule for a few hours would be serious for your business, keep a copy.

No warranty

Zapto is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost bookings, lost revenue or lost data, arising out of your use of Zapto. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app under Settings, which permanently removes your business, services, schedule, photos and bookings. Cancel the subscription separately through Apple — deleting the account does not refund the current period. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Zapto afterwards means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION TO BE CONFIRMED], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
